Dr. Nathan C. Walker participated in a Roundtable Discussion organized by Globethics in collaboration with the International Association for Safe & Ethical AI (IASEAI), the Institute for AI International Governance, Tsinghua University (I-AIIG), focused on AI Global Safety: Mitigating Catastrophic Risks.
Alongside the AI for Good Summit 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland, this workshop brought together experts and eminent leaders across domains of artificial intelligence, ethics, public policy, and diplomacy, representing a diverse array of regions and perspectives, to:
- Cultivate a multidisciplinary community of trust—uniting experts with a shared sense of responsibility to confront AI-related catastrophic risks that imperil humanity and civilization at large.
- Deepen collective understanding of the nature, scope, and trajectory of these risks.
- Co-create pathways for cooperation—exploring mechanisms to monitor, communicate, prevent, and mitigate emerging threats in a fragmented global landscape.
