Courses
In addition to Independent Study courses that allow students to conduct specific research with Dr. Walker at the AI Ethics Lab, students across the university are encouraged to enroll in any of the following courses to develop their legal, ethical, and technical literacy about artificial intelligence.
Teaching Assistants: Students who demonstrated exceptional performance in one of the courses listed below or completed exemplary work for at least one semester as a research assistant in the AI Ethics Lab are eligible to contact Dr. Walker for information about Teaching Assistant positions.
AI Ethics & Law
A graduate seminar that examines the multinational, national, and corporate regulatory systems that seek to govern the artificial intelligence movement.

AI & Society
Examines how AI systems that aim to emulate human learning, reasoning, self-correction, and perception impact humanity, societies, and the natural world.

AI & Vulnerable Populations
Applies what the United Nations calls a vulnerability lens to evaluate the impact of artificial intelligence on children, women, racial and ethnic minorities, and other vulnerable populations.

Independent Study
Undergraduate students are eligible to earn academic credit by enrolling in an Independent Study with Dr. Nathan C. Walker.
