Responsible AI in Nonprofit Management

Artificial intelligence is reshaping how nonprofits communicate, conduct research, and manage their diverse teams. As part of a collegial conversation series, Dr. Nathan C. Walker facilitated an interactive workshop for staff of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice.

Together, they asked, what is AI, and what are the ethical and legal implications of using it to administer a social justice organization? How can we make sense of the mixed messages surrounding the promises and perils of this disruptive technology? They explored practical strategies for using AI responsibly, balancing innovation with accountability while elevating human dignity and agency.
