Honors College Contributing Author

Abby M. Santiago is a fourth-year student at Rutgers University-Camden pursuing a double major in Accounting and Business Management. In the Honors Seminar on AI & Vulnerable Humans, Abby’s research focuses on how AI affects vulnerable populations, including children, racial and ethnic minorities, and older adults. Her interest in this topic stems from curiosity about how AI is transforming the world, especially as its presence grows across professional fields such as accounting. On campus, Abby is president of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and is an active member of Beta Alpha Psi, Tri-Alpha, and the Latin American Students Organization. In these roles, she is dedicated to supporting professional growth, building an inclusive campus community, and empowering underrepresented voices to be heard and valued equally. Career-wise, Abby has completed two internships with Ernst & Young, gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis and assurance services. Following graduation, she plans to earn her CPA license and begin her career as an auditor with EY in Fall 2027.
